Present

Very few people are born performers, and public speaking is just that. The thought of standing up in front of an audience induces anxiety, stage fright, avoidance, loss of words (or verbal diarrhea) for many of us.This training day was borne of our personal experiences of struggling to speak publicly (Deb) and training as an actor (Nick) because we know there is a legion of social sector heroes out there who have important messages to share, and stories that will inspire others to compassionate action. You will be stretched and challenged to embrace public speaking as a performance that you can handle because you have an important message to share.

This day is for you if:

  • You are fearful of speaking in public (important meetings or presentations)

  • You avoid doing so or often feel you couldn’t make a point in a discussion

  • You want to boss presentation materials and make them work for you

  • You are ready to get up, in the safest of spaces, and challenge yourself to present!
