A preliminary must have for any Equality, Diversity and Inclusion training this course engages participants in exploring the human brain's fast thinking and its biased tendencies.
Communicate.
Being able to express ourselves honestly, clearly and with the right intentions are key skills and even more so when we need to give or receive feedback (whether that be up, down, or sideways). Sound communication is integral to our clarity about where we are heading as a team, group or organisation.
Influence.
How do you ensure your message is heard? How do you juggle all of the relationships that need to be managed? In this course, learners develop strategies for relationship management that ensures your issue, service and/ or organisation develops its status as a thought leader.
Present.
Sharing your vital message in presentations is an art - from the content of your slides to your ability to engage your viewers. This course overviews key concepts and gives valuable tools and techniques for overcoming self-consciousness!
Action Learning.
Group action learning sets are a vital tool in unpicking complex dilemmas. In Part A of this course you will develop the skills to participate in action learning sets that empower the holder of the dilemma to explore solutions. Part B develops the art of facilitation for those who might lead these groups.
Coach.
Coaching is an art and the role of a coach requires some key tools and resources to ensure success for the coachee's development. Part A is an introduction to coaching colleagues for line managers. Part B is an opportunity for key workers to develop coaching skills that can be used with service users as well as team colleagues.
Listen
Listening actively is contrary to human nature and requires effort, including an awareness of what our brain gets up to when someone else is speaking! Take this module to develop active listening and rapport skills for anyone in the organisation.
